At Warren Farm Primary School our aim is to develop physically literate children to ensure they are prepared to perform a range of physical activities, as well as competitive sport. We endeavour to grow children’s knowledge of movement, so they are confident, competent and safe when participating in physical activity.
In the Early Years a big emphasis is placed on Physical Development including fine and gross motor movements. The children have to develop their control and move safely in a range of ways. This also includes the use of equipment whether it be riding a bike or using a pencil. This area incorporates the importance of physical exercise, healthy eating and personal hygiene, as well as taking about ways to keep safe and healthy.
