The Stone Age
For our recent topic Year 3 have been learning all about The Stone Age! We've looked at the Palaeolithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic eras, which make up the Stone Age, and compared how life changed. Using artefacts and reconstruction drawings we investigated how tools and the role of the Hunter-Gatherer evolved throughout the time period. We decoded traditional cave paintings discovered in a cave in 1940 France and recreated our own paintings using symbols found.
Our first topic this year is....Puppets!
We will be learning all about the history of puppets, the different types of puppets and designing our own!
The final part of our topic is our parent workshop,
where our parents will be invited in to help make the children's very own hand puppet!
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
