West Midlands Fire Service
In AH we were lucky to have some visitors from the fire service. They talked to us about fire safety in the home, we listened to a house fire alarm and we were taught the "stop, drop and roll" technique if we were to catch fire. We were given lots of useful information which could one day save our life.
Thank you to the Fire Service for coming to see us!
Some of our class walked to Kingstanding Leisure Centre
and worked with the Community Centre located there. We took part in a forestry walk identifying different trees and leaves around our school perimeter and did several tree bark rubbings. We then went back to their community cafe to design posters to be put up for the rest of the community to see and enjoy. We were also lucky enough to be given some refreshments there after our busy adventure.
We would love to work with them again soon and see
our pieces of art!
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
